Abstract :
This research aims to explore Fondi talents’ experiences, challenges, and efforts made to overcome the challenges in managing thematic conversations during the Fondi Talent Meetup Event. The researcher employed a qualitative research method, focusing on the Fondi application and virtual meeting platform. Data collection techniques in this study included observation and interviews with Fondi Talents who have participated in at least ten Fondi Talent Meetup Events.\r\nIn the data collection process, the researcher conducted observations of the Fondi application, as well as semi-structured interviews with seven Fondi Talents. These interviews aimed to delve into the experiences, challenges, and strategies employed to manage thematic conversations during the events. Each respondent shared unique experiences, challenges, and efforts made to overcome the challenges they faced.\r\nThe respondents reported having extraordinary experiences in practicing their English speaking skills and managing thematic conversations; however, they encountered several obstacles related to event participants, regulations within the Fondi Talent program, and the reliability of features in the application. Despite these challenges, many were able to develop strategies to address them, such as improving their communication skills and adapting to the event dynamics. Nonetheless, some aspects of the Fondi application require enhancement and improvement.\r\nBased on these findings, it can be concluded that to enhance user experiences, system improvements and simplified navigation within the application are essential, especially for frequently used features. This research contributes to developers’ understanding of user needs and expectations regarding the Fondi application.
