Abstract :
\r\nABSTRACT \r\nThis study aims to examine the effect of the Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on Return on Assets (ROA) in food and beverage sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022–2025 period, both partially and simultaneously. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The data used were secondary data obtained from the companies\' annual financial statements published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 53 companies with a total of 212 observations. The data analysis techniques included descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), simultaneous hypothesis testing (F-test), and the coefficient of determination test. The results indicate that, partially, the Current Ratio (CR) has no significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA). Likewise, the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has no significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA). Simultaneously, the Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) do not have a significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA). These findings suggest that liquidity and capital structure are not the primary factors influencing the profitability of food and beverage sector companies. The companies\' profitability is presumed to be more strongly influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this research model, such as asset management effectiveness, operational efficiency, sales growth, company size, and management\'s ability to manage the company\'s resources. The implications of this study indicate that improving profitability should be supported by operational efficiency and the effective utilization of assets. Furthermore, the findings may serve as a reference for management, academics, and future researchers in understanding the factors that influence Return on Assets (ROA).\r\n \r\nKeywords: Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA).
