Abstract :
Sekolah MTsN 5 Tanah Laut dimana cara penilaian akademiknya, guru wali kelas mengumpulkan nilai akhir mata pelajaran dari guru pengajar dan direkap oleh guru wali kelas kemudian rekapan tersebut di masukkan kedalam buku raport lalu data rekap tersebut diberikan ke staf TU untuk disimpan dalam Arsip dan Data Excel sekolah. Hal ini sering membuat terjadinnya kesalahan penulisan pada rapot yang menyebabkan nilai di rapot dan arsip berbeda dan jika terjadi kerusakan pada buku atau hilang akan mengganggu dalam proses penilaian yang mana proses tersebut harus nya bisa selesai dalam waktu 1-2 hari mejadi selesai dalam seminggu. Berdasarkan Permasalah tersebut, sistem informasi penilaian akademik siswa sangatlah penting. Sistem informasi menggunakan SMS Gateway ini dirasa dapat membantu memudahkan guru dalam proses penilaian akademik, mengurangi terjadi kesalahan dalam pengolahan nilai siswa dan membantu orang tua siswa dalam memantau proses belajar siswa di sekolah. Adanya aplikasi ini memudahkan staf guru pengajar dan staf tata usaha dalam peroses penilaian akademik pada MTsN 5 Tanah Laut. Hasil pengujian aplikasi ini mempermudah dalam pengelolaan nilai siswa, mempermudah dalam mencetak laporan/raport siswa, meningkatkan kinerja kerja guru pengajar, membantu orang tua dalam ikut serta memantau proses belajar siswa di sekolah, dan juga untuk memberikan kecepatan dan keakuratan guna mendukung kelancaran dalam memantau hasil belajar siswa serta adanya fitur SMS Gateway orang tua dapat berperan aktif dalam pemantauan sikap siswa di sekolah. Disarankan pengembangan selanjutnya sistem akademik ini dibuat lebih kompleks seperti pendaftaran siswa baru, penyediaan informasi dan berita terbaru, keuangan, gaji guru, perpustakaan online serta fasilitas e-learning. The information system using SMS Gateway is considered to help facilitate teachers in the academic assessment process, reduce errors in the processing of student grades and assist parents in monitoring the learning process of students in school. The existence of this application facilitates teaching and administrative staff in academic assessment peroses on MTsN 5 Tanah Laut. The test results of this application make it easier to manage student grades, make it easier to print student reports/raport, improve the work performance of teachers, help parents in participating in monitoring the learning process of students in school, and also to provide speed and accuracy to support smooth monitoring of student learning outcomes and the presence of SMS Gateway feature parents can play an active role in monitoring student attitudes in school. Further development of this academic system is recommended to be made more complex such as new student enrolment, provision of the latest information and news, finances, teacher salaries, online libraries and e-learning facilities.
