ABSTRACT Farhan Fani Fachrezky (2019071009) VIRTUAL MACHINE MAINTENANCE IN THE UNIVERSITAS PEMBANGUNAN DATACENTER While carrying out professional work in the ICT field located at Pembangunan Jaya University, under the supervision of senior IT support guidance. During the working period of this profession, the position placed is working as a network administration system whose job is to carry out installations on new servers and scan old servers to new servers. In installing Open Source in a Virtual Machine, the applications used are Virtual Box and Proxmox VE. Open Source that is installed only uses one, namely Open Source Linux, then the type of Linux used is Ubuntu and Centos. However, practitioners often use Ubuntu as an installation template, because it can simplify the installation process. Packages that are installed, namely the mysql database, nginx, FTP, and so on, then make settings in Ubuntu to get an internet network and so that it can be accessed remotely via a personal laptop so that it can make it easier to do several installations such as the environment. The media used is a laptop with an internet connection and also the applications needed for installation. The device used is an application device that has been downloaded onto the practitioner's laptop. KEY WORD : Virtual Machine, Database, server, Open Source
