Abstract :
Background : Examination of the head in radiology can use conventional radiographic modalities, CT-Scan, ultrasonografi, and magnetic resonance imaging (Patell, 2007). Journal 1 uses radiographic modality conventional, CT-Scan, MRI, and USG, journal 2 uses the CT-Scan modality, ultrasound, and plain photo, and journal 3 using ultrasound modality, CT-Scan, and MRI.
Methofds : This type of research uses a qualitative approach wih a literature review study. Data is optained from the treeliteratures published in national journals.
Research Result : The result of this study explain that the literature review of techiniques for examining the head with cases of craniosynostosisuse radiological modalities with a ct scant that is more accurate and efficient, and can establish a diagnosis and examination of the head in each literature using different modalities.
Conclusion : Based on analysis of data from three journals regarding head examination with craniosynostosis cases with various radiological modalities, the authors conclude that head examination using conventional radiographic modalities, CT-Scan, MRI, and ultrasound already have their respective roles in assessing craniosynostosis. Which has a more effective and efficient role in diagnosing craniosynostosis in radiological examination of the head, namely using CT-Scan modality.
