Abstract :
Keywords: Ceremony, Connotative Meaning, Teing hang kolang, Torok. This research in the titled ?Analysis of Connotative Meaning of Torok Utterances in Teing Hang Kolang Ceremony in Lentang Manggarai, Nusa Tenggara Timur?. This research aims to describe the Connotative meaning of Torok in Teing hang kolang Ceremony in Lentang Manggarai Nusa Tenggara Timur. The data of this research included the Torok utterances in Teing Hang Kolang ceremony. In this research, the researcher used Connotative meaning theory to obtained the connotative meaning of the data. The researcher also used the semantics theory as the supporting theory. In this research, researcher used primary data and secondary data as the sources of the data. The research methods in this research used descriptive qualitative research because, this described the connotative of Torok in teing hang kolang in Manggarai of Nusa Tenggara Timur. Data collection techniques in this research were Observation, making a list of questions, interviewing to the respondents, and writing the information obtained as data. The data is analyzed through the stages of Classifying the data, analyzing the data, and drawing conclusion. In this research, the researcher found 53 utterances of Torok.
