Pusparani, Bening. 2020. ?Moral Value Of Salah Asuhan Novel By Abdoel Moeis : Literature Sociology Study.? Essay Strata I Program In Indonesian Literature, Semarang. Faculty Of Cultural Sciences Diponegoro University. Advisor : Dr. Redyanto Noor, M.Hum., Khothibul Umam, S.S., M.Hum. Novel Salah Asuhan by Abdul Moeis tells the love story of a native man with a woman of Dutch blood. Hanafi lives in a European family and goes to school at HBS, making Hanafi adapt to a new environment. Because Hanafi interacted with Europeans, Hanafi's perspective on Minangkabau culture changed. Hanafi is considered to be mistreated for being westernized. Hanafi was married to Rapiah but divorced because he chose to have a love affair with Corrie De Busse, a girl of Indo French descent. Problems taken in this novel include elements of structure contained in the novel, as well as moral values in the novel. Theories used in the study include the structural theory of fiction novels that include themes, characters and characterizations, plot, background, the theory of sociology of literature, and moral theory. Based on the results of the analysis, we have found some moral values contained in the novel Salah Asuhan, which includes don't look down on others, don't forget your own culture, be patient, admit mistakes, don't be arrogant, don't argue with parents advice, be grateful, apologize for mistakes and forgive others mistakes.
