Abstract :
Cognitive ability is something that involves an activity or process of acquiring knowledge. In a motivation, the choice of cognitive words comes from the choice of words used by motivators, one of which is Merry Riana in her youtube account. The motivation contained in Merry Riana's youtube account has many impacts on the people who watch it. This can be seen from the positive comments made on the uploaded youtube account. The object of study in this study focuses on the form of cognitive delivery regarding word choice. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of cognitive word choice in the youtube motivator account of Merry Riana, and to determine the choice of words that contain cognitive elements in the listener's perception. The approach used in this study is a psycholinguistic approach by utilizing the theory of Bloom's Taxonomy by Benjamin S. Bloom, and cognitive theory by Jean Piaget. This type of research is qualitative by using utterances in the form of narratives taken through MR motivator youtube videos. Collecting data using the listening method, which is examining language by listening to the use of language that contains cognitive elements on MR's youtube account. Other written sources are taken from books, articles, journals, or documents that are relevant to the problems studied, especially those related to psycholinguistics and cognitive, or referred to as primary data. The results of this study are MR videos in 2017-2019 with the theme of love (love) using Bloom's Taxonomy theory, only using two aspects of the cognitive domain, namely knowing (C1) and understanding (C2). For the selection of words that contain cognitive elements in the listener's perception using Jean Piaget's theory, namely the formal operational stage with hypothetical deductive thinking results.
