S-1 Thesis on Indonesian Literature, FIB Diponegoro University. Thesis Supervisor I ; Dr. M. Abdullah, M. Hum. Thesis II Supervisor : Drs. Moh. Muzakka, M. This study aims to determine the edited text and the form of moral messages in the Minangkabau Traditional Saving text. The object of research is the Manuscript of the Traditional Minangkabau Book of Storage obtained by the author by studying the literature on the collection catalog of the Indonesian National Library Manuscript (PNRI). The catalog describes ML 432, Book of Customs and Regulations, 25 pp, Latin Aks, Rol 424.07A. The author of the manuscript is not known, even the year of writing is not recorded in the text of the Minangkabau Adat Book of Storage. Qualitative research methods using philological theory and content analysis. The results showed that this manuscript consists of four articles, namely the first Article Nan is actually custom, namely the custom received from the Prophet Muhammad based on the Quran. The second article Nan was enforced, namely the customs received from Datuk Katumenggungan and Datuk Perpatih nan Sebatang. The third article is Nan teradat, namely the customs that are used in one luhak or in one country, and must be adapted to the conditions of the place or country. The fourth article is customs, namely habits that have existed in the country's children since ancient times, for example connecting chickens and gambling. Whereas the moral message in the KKAM text is that humans in life must always obey and worship their religion, namely the Islamic religion by moving away from the prohibitions of Allah SWT and observing all the commands of Allah SWT as taught by the prophet Muhammad SAW which are based on the guidelines in the Al-Quran. In addition, the rules of a custom or group where we live must also be respected and respected because we live side by side with the community around us. Want to learn these customs, either just getting to know them or you can also practice them in our lives. Participate if there are activities in the context of preserving customs.
