Bosavi, Fifi Tofiqah. 2021 ?MORAL VALUE IN SOUL MOVIE AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO TEACHING LITERATURE?. Final project, English Department, Faculty of Language and Arts and Education. University of PGRI Semarang. Advisor I: Siti Nur?aini, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D., Advisor II: Dr. Nur Hidayat., M.Hum. Literature is an imaginative works that define of human life that can be enjoyed, understand, and use by society. One of the literary form is movie. Movie is one form of popular literary work which is presented visually that contains element of narrative or story. The movie is a medium to educate people and improve understanding of particular subject even though it is only in visual form. By using movie, it also can know a lot of information such as learning foreign languages. A movie is a tool to convey a message depending on the audience because movie show the audience to through the visualization. This research design uses qualitative descriptive. The data sources for this research are taken from a movie is titled Soul. After the researcher has collected all the data, the researcher reduces and selects the movie for analysis, after that; the researcher summarize the research result and draw conclusion for the research result. This study analyzes the types of moral value, the most dominant moral value, and the contribution to teaching literature. The total number types of moral value in Soul movie are 16. They are self-confidence and potential, helping other, respect, responsibilities, courage, love and affection, and appreciation. The most dominant moral value in Soul movie is self-confidence and potential, the total numbers are 6 types of moral value. Keywords: literature, moral value, movie
