Keywords: Vocabulary mastery, Finding nemo movie, Teaching methodologies The major purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of the Finding Nemo Movie As a media Technique approach to improving vocabulary ability. This study is a quantitative and pre-experimental design. In detail, the purpose is; 1) to find out the improvement of the students' vocabulary ability in 7th grade of SMP N 17 Semarang before using Finding Nemo Movie As a Media Technique. 2) to find out the improvement of the students'vocabulary ability at 7th grade of SMP N 17 Semarang after using using finding nemo movie as a media technique. 3) to find out the significant difference between students' vocabulary ability before and after using Finding Nemo movies as a media technique. The sample of this study was 30 seventh-grade students. The findings revealed that post-test scores grew and surpassed pre-test values. The mean pre-test of the students was 62.00, and the mean post-test score of students in the experimental group was 78.00. Furthermore, at a level of significance of 0.05%, the t-score is considered to be less than t-table. The alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, the Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between students' listening comprehension taught by cloze dictation technique.
