Abstract :
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition characterized by elevated blood glucose levels. Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus are at risk for specific complications due to the course of this disease, namely microvascular (retinopathy, nephropathy), macrovascular (atherosclerosis, stroke, gangrene, coronary artery disease) and diabetic neuropathy caused by absolute or relative insulin deficiency. and some of these results in an increase in plasma glucose concentration.
This study aims to determine the relationship between diet and HbA1C levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Soebandi Jember in 2019. The research method used is chi square test analysis, this method is used to test the relationship between two nominal variables and measure the strength of the relationship between one variable and another nominal variable. The hypothesis is that there is a relationship between diet and HbA1C levels.
