Abstract :
The goal of this study was to help first-graders at SMA Wijaya Putra Surabaya write recount texts more effectively by employing visual sequences. The methodology used for this study was classroom action research. 32 pupils from class X at IPS SMA Wijaya Putra Surabaya served as the study's topic. Two cycles of study were undertaken. The observation sheet and test were the tools used to collect the data. According to the results of the writing test, it was discovered that the students' scores increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. The findings of this study demonstrated that using visual sequences helped pupils write more effectively. When compared to the teacher's cycle I and cycle II statistics, there was a significant improvement.The data frrom the teacher showed that 25% student could pass the writing test. It improved as 50% to cycle I. While in cycle II 84,38% students passed the writing test. Thus, it was found that teaching learning process ran well. Students were active and interested in writing using picture sequences. The result of this research shows that picture sequences can improve senior high shool students? writing skill.
