Abstract :
English lessons, reading comprehension is difficult for students, difficulties in understanding English reading are caused by the lack of learning media used. By utilizing today's technology through social media for learning media, it is hoped that teachers can take advantage of social media features and, teachers will have variants to create creative and interesting learning media and students easily understand reading comprehension by utilizing existing social media. In this study, researchers used the CAR (Class Action Research) method to improve teaching and learning activities in the classroom. based on the results of research that has been done in the introduction there is a success of 29% then in Cycle I by 53% and in Cycle II by 85% where in Cycle II the success indicator has been achieved. The conclusion of this study is that the researcher found that students' reading comprehension increased. The researcher concluded that the use of the Instagram application as a learning medium was successfully applied to improve students' reading comprehension.
