Abstract :
Writing is the most difficult to master among the four languages skill (reading, writing, speaking and listening) because when the writer thinks or makes an idea to their written task, their idea is an abstract that come through their minds. Narrative text is a text that tells story in past event. The aim of narrative text is to entertain the reader. Guided question technique is a technique in learning teaching process that provides several questions. The objective of this study is to find out whether guided question technique can improve the students' writing skill in narrative text. The researcher applied guided question technique with using a questionnaire, interview and written test as an instrument to collect the data. The sample of this study was the students of tenth OTP 2 at Kawung 2 Vocational High School Surabaya. In this study, the researcher gather 25 students to join in learning activity. According to questionnaire and written test, the researcher stated that guided question technique can improve the students' knowledge and understanding in writing narrative text.
