Abstract :
This study aimed to determine the better used of anesthetic drugs in combination with Xylazine-Ketamine and Xylazine-Zoletil using body temperature and pupil size in Rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). The experimental animals used were rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) of 24 animals divided into 3 treatments with 8 replications. The treatment group, that was, treatment (P0) given Ketamine injection with a single dose of 20 mg / kg; treatment group (P1) Xylazine injection dose of 0.15 mg / kg BW followed by injection of Ketamine at a dose of 20 mg / kg BW; treatment group (P2) Xylazine injection 0.15 mg / kg BW, then followed by Zoletil injection dose of 3 mg / kg BW. The data obtained were analyzed using one-way ANOVA statistical test. The results showed that the administration of a combination of Xylazine-Ketamine and Xylazine-Zoletil had no significant difference (P>0.05). The conclusion of the study was the administration of Xylazine-Ketamine and Xylazine-Zoletil had no significant effect on body temperature and pupil size in Rabbits.
