Abstract :
Slang is vocabulary that is used between people who belong to the same social group and who know each other well. Slang is very informal language. Slang has characteristic such as a marker of in group solidarity, and it correlates of human groups with shared experiences at certain school or a certain age, or being a member of certain social group such as hookers, junkies, musicians, or professional criminals. In social media slang is usually used by teenagers or people with same interests in Instagram. Certain types of slang, usually used in Instagram, such as society slang, workmen slang, public house and public school slang. This paper will describe the definition, the advantages and the example and types of slang in Instagram.
