Abstract :
Gel combination of Jatropha multifida and Carica papaya leafs extract that have role to recovery of wound process is hoped to be effective agent into epithelialization, collagenitation, and prevention of infection. This research to know the influence of giving gel combination of Jatropha multifida and Carica papaya leafs extract to excision wound recovery on Rattus norvegicus skin by observation of collagen density. The research design is experimental, invivo, used 25 Spraque Dawley into 5 groups. They are negative control, 5% for Jatropha multifida and 10% for Carica papaya leafs extract gel comination or 2:1, 7,5% for Jatropha multifida and 7,5% for Carica papaya extract gel combination or 1:1, 10% for Jatropha multifida and 5% for Carica papaya or 1:2, and povidon iodine as positive control. Excision wound is practice by cylindrical kinfe, scissor, pinset. The wound is measured its diameter by calipers and annoyed by gel combination of Jatropha multifida and Carica papaya leafs extract everyday. After the wound is better, skin of Rattus norvegicus is taken and made preparat can be observed by indicator of collagen density. Data of collagen density is analyzed by Kruskal Wallis test and to be continued by Mann Whitney U test to know signification to every groups. The result shows that Jatropha multifida and Carica papaya leafs extract gel combination 2:1 gives the highest density by scored of collagen : 2,94 + 0,60 by significantion of positive control (p= 0,000).
