Abstract :
Wastewater treatment research seaweed washing with the process of artificial wetlands that use plants Canna indica L has been done in laboratory scale. This study aims to determine the level of efficiency decreased levels of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and pH contained in the waste washing liquid seaweed after a Constructed Wetland Influence and potential of plants has been studied through observation of the wastewater treatment efficiency and also their effects on soil quality. The results showed that by using plants Canna indica L. in constructed wetland wastewater treatment to the provision of seaweed washing pollutants in waste water content with time sampling of 1 to 5 days, COD removal efficiency of 36.3% - 95% and pH 12 , 3 - 7.3. Advantages of waste water treatment with this system in addition to the quality of the water quality standard appropriate processing waste water from the seaweed processing with a system very easy and friendly environment.
