Abstract :
Communication is a nature. When people communicate, they find gambit in that communication. In this case we find Gambit in that script of kung fu panda. Gambit are a word or phrase which help us to express what we are trying to say’. “Gambit can be seen as a set of signals in language that show what kind of thing the speaker is going to say next, or to signals the social relationship between the people who are speaking. We can learn gambit from film, script of film, book store, short stories, comic and magazine. The film script is an interesting script to read. In that script finds many gambits. The objective in this research are (i) to find out the types of gambit found in film script of Kung Fu Panda, (2) to find out expressions of gambit in film scrip of Kung Fu Panda. The method used in the research is descriptive qualitative research. The data that is utterances by all of character in this script. Meanwhile, the data source was taken from the script of Kung Fu Panda by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. Source of the Data: http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/movie.html. The result of this research finds that (i) there are many types English gambit found in film script of Kung Fu panda. The researcher found 3 types of gambit that is opening, linking and responding gambit. (ii) There are many various dominan of the English gambit found in film script of Kung Fu Panda. Based the result above, the researcher suggest for the readers, the student and the teacher to learn more about English gambit, because English gambit has important role in the speaking skill.
