Abstract :
This research is aim to know Gratification Sought (GS) with Gratification Obtained (GO) of housewife in reading tabloid of Saji about cookery recipe and guide of effort in area of culinary. In this research is employ theory Uses and Gratification because basically every human has basic need and society actively choice mass media to complement it need so that satisfaction from using those media. Used research method is quantitative descriptive, used sampling technique in this research is Purposive Sampling. Result of research is indicate that as a whole there is satisfaction felt by housewife from four motif in consuming media, that is: motif Surveillance, motif Personal Identity, motif Personal Relationship, and motif Diversi. in this case obtained the requirement a lot more than the wanted requirement. In other word, all individual need is able to fulfill by reading tabloid of Saji at one of the certain motif. Keywords : Gratification Sought, Gratification Obtained, Motif, Tabloid of Saji.
