Abstract :
This study aims to analyze the response and the response of farmers to limit the
planting area as a result of tobacco demand customized production at the farm
level in the Village District Gunungan Dawarblandong Mojokerto regency.
Descriptive analysis was used to test the first and second goals, whereas the t
test analysis different from the R / C ratio is used to test the third goal. Results
showed in general respond to the suggestion of tobacco farmers planting area
restrictions, upon request by the tobacco cigarette factory. Some farmers just
want to listen, learn and respond positively to the recommendations of the head
of the group (53.13%), while the response of farmers here grow tobacco in the
form of more comprehensive list in the proposed area through farmer groups
(68.75%). There are farmers (31.25%) were planted in accordance with the
proposed area for the group. Costs and higher tobacco farm income compared
with alternative farming (corn). Tobacco production costs for Rp.11.647.712, 89
and tobacco farming income amounted Rp.29.991.370, 69, while the cost of
production of alternative farming (corn) for Rp.7.294.028, 83 and alternative farm
income (maize) of Rp. 9,869,809.99. In terms of farming efficiency (R / C),
tobacco farming and alternative farming corn are both still give you an advantage,
but the R / C higher tobacco farming of maize farming. Alternative farming corn
thus can not be replaced the tobacco farming.
