Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine how meaning of communicated illustratlion cover book Poconggg Juga Pocong. The theory used is the semiotic of Charles Sanders Peirce who divide between sign and referent into three categories: Icon, Index, Symbol is a sign that the relationship between the marker and the marker is the same natural shape. Frame of Reference (based on knowledge) and the Field of Experience (backfield). Semiotic methods in qualitative research is descriptive, is a method that is easier to adjust when it is in fact double this study, present a direct relationship between the researcher with the object of researchers, more sensitive and can adjust to a lot of influence on the patterns of face value. Techniques of data analysis in this research is descriptive method, the data collected in the form of word and images. The result indicate that message conveyed through the deciption of that illustration is a view concerning buttonhole of pocong that original represent depiction of devil buttonhole. At this cover book illustration, poconggg describe as artis which idol by youngman. Even caricature artis, like Lady Gaga And justin bieber follow idol of poconggg. Conclusion is deception pocong in binding illustration of Poconggg Also Pocong become to youngman idol and artist.
