Abstract :
Troubling phenomenon of many parties, at present this is the style of the teen dating leading to sex or free sex. Especially young women today have undergone many changes in terms of social and lifestyle. This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication between the mother and teenage daughter in understanding the risk of premarital sex in Surabaya. Interpersonal communication theory used in this study is the social exchange theory by John Thibaut and Kelly Harorld, based on this theory we enter the social exchange relationship between a mother and teenage daughter who engage in open communication. The method used is descriptive method and using kualitatif analysis, which combines the method of survey or observation, and in depth interviews. Mothers should be able to explain the risk of premarital sex, especially when children enter menstrual pertama.So more intensive mentoring. Mother and teenage daughter must communicate openly so that messages can be received well.
