Abstract :
This study aims to determine how adolescent perceptions of Surabaya against campursari music in an era now. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods as well as a descriptive analysis of the methods of data analysis. Besides the theory used in this research is cultivation theory of George Gebner that addresses the communication process related to the mass media, especially television which is believed to have the major influence on the attitude or behavior of spectators. Informants in this study is that adolescents become sinden and in campursari music player. Techniques of data collection using interviews, and data analysis techniques and sample populations using snowball sampling technique. Results of this study was, adolescent perception of the arts campursari surabaya is traditional music played with traditional musical instrument which combined between diatonic and pentatonic music. However, only one television station that broadcast the event campursari as TVRI television station in East Java. From the discussion above, it can be concluded that teenagers today like campursari as well as taking part in the preserve. Keywords: Perception, art mix, television
