Abstract :
This study is based on the number of phenomena that often occur in the middle of the
Surabaya CITY, one of which is children begging on the streets but their parents do not
know what was done by his son. The purpose of this study was to determine how patterns
of communication that occurs between parents and children who have a profession as a
beggar or beggars.
The method used in this study is a qualitative method by using in-depth interviews
(Depth Interview) and observation by the informant to get the results that the researchers
want. While the theory used is the theory about the communication patterns of parents
with children consisting of three parts are: Authoritarian, permissive, and authoritative
with this theory researchers can get the results of the informants, that the communication
patterns which are used by the informants that researchers encounter.
In this case the researchers took 6 infroman consisting of three parents who do not
know which children to beg and 3 children who beg. Based on the results of an analysis
that informants use communications patterns Authoritative (Tends from anxiety and
chaos) and informants 2 and 3 using Authoritarian communication patterns (likely hostile).
