Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine how meaning is communicated caricature section on the site Matanews.com Om Kedip edition October 20, 2011. The theory used is the semiotic of Charles Sanders Peirce who divide between sign and referent into three categories: Icon, Index, Symbol is a sign that the relationship between the marker and the marker is the same natural shape. Frame of mind which is used in this study based on Frame of Reference (based on knowledge) and the Field of Experience (backfield). Semiotic methods in qualitative research is descriptive, ie a method that is easier to adjust when it is in fact double this study, presents a direct relationship between the researcher with the object of researchers, more sensitive and can adjust to a lot of influence on the patterns of face value. Techniques of data analysis in this research is descriptive method, the data collected in the form of words and images. The results indicate that the message conveyed through the depiction of these caricatures is a view of the existence of a Kleptocracy Cabinet on Cabinet government led by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono because many corruption cases that occurred and conducted by government officials so that known by the Cabinet Kleptocracy. Conclusions This study, which became an icon in the rubric caricature caricature Om Kedip matanews is demonstrated with images Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and Om Kedip icon matanews.com caricature. the index in this intensive search is stone with a hole, line gestures, the words "State Money Robbed", and the words "rat-rat is not afraid of the speech pack".
