Abstract :
The study was based on the phenomenon of communication patterns between parents and children who followed the punk community. Punk in Cirebon still willing to do jobs to earn money such work as cane laborers, working odd jobs as a handyman, and employees of the workshop they were still willing to go home and help parents, in contrast again with the punk community in Surabaya. Surabaya punk in support himself by begging and blackmailing people passing in front of him and they did not come home. The method used is depth interviews ( indepth interview ) are included in the qualitative research. Here the qualitative method using the theory of Joseph, there are three communication patterns of parents and child relationship, that is an Authoritarian, Permissive, Authoritatif that describe patterns of communication between parents and children. Researchers took six informants, namely parents three children of and three Children's punk Punk it self. In this study researchers a technique indepth interviews to get the data obtained. The results of this study based on analysis of data obtained from interviews, in outline is the first informant parents who have children who are members of the punk community embracing communication patterns authotarian ( authoritarian ) and informants two and three adopt permissive communication patterns ( liberating ).
