Abstract :
The purpose of this study to determine the objectivity of news by news of the arrest of the chairman of the Commission on Constitutional compass newspaper edition October 5 2013.Komisi 3.4 and combating corruption set some of the arrested suspects hand involving the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Akil Mochtar . News in Kompas examined in this study, for three days on December 3 , 4 , 5 October 2013. The theory used is the theory of freedom of the press . The data required in this study is primary data , ie data taken directly from newspaper Kompas news in the form of units in issue 3, 4 and 5 October 2013. Sampling technique using total sampling . Based on the analysis of the objectivity of the news of arrest of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Akil Mochtar , the news is presented is not objective. Because it is still ditemukam reporters opinion. For fairness dimensions also exist that use source data from one source . And the validity of only one dimension of news using news sources directly .
