Abstract :
So many culture in Indonesia who began forgotten by the next generation of Indonesia such as puppet show, excess of puppet show that is reflection of the temper of man. Gatokaca is one of the traditional arts of puppet character, knight of Pringgadani, son of Werkudara and Dewi Arimbi. That strong kninght has the nickname ?iron wire and bone muscle?. Many are not knowing the story of the puppet character, as the young generation shall be obliged to love and preserving puppet, because it has been being inherited from ancestors the Indonesia nation. Now this comic has been part of pop culture and constituting literary work visual very popular various parties from years ago until now, because comic books more easily understood by the reader. Those things that drive choose the title of this final project design, aiming to provide an alternaive media read to the next generation about the puppet character and story. The story of Gatotkaca packaged adjust to teenagers that readers are more interested with the comic as well as more love traditional culture of puppet. Design comic creation story Gatotkaca ?Prince of Pringgadani? form of comic book undersized A5 potrait and full color. Using concept ?everyone can be a hero? showing or giving an image of a puppet the imagination of the audience who apprehends all that is in the story puppet in accordance with versions of each individual. The message to be delivered is no less exciting puppet stories compared with superhero stories from overseas, increasing the sense of love for the culture and preserving the culture of Indonesia.
