Abstract :
This research studies about speech acts in Cinderella movie. The purpose of this research is to find out what speech acts are used and what Illocutionary acts are used in the film. Researchers took data from a film called Cinderella. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The research data was taken from the main characters acting in dialogues on the film. The instrument of this study was the researcher herself who collected, analyzed, and presented the research findings, and drew a conclusion. The results of the analysis showed nine data belonging to representative, nine data belonging to expressive, thirteen data belonging to directive.
