Abstract :
This research paper analyses Feminism Study applied in a short story ?The Friday Everything Changed? by Anne Hart. The theory applied in this study is Virginia Woolf?s theory in her book entitled A Room of One?s Own published in 1929. The approach that the researcher used in this study is feminism approach. The researcher has read the text of the short story, identified the problems and analyzed the short story to get the findings. The findings found in this story are the cause of oppression toward female characters, the kinds of oppression that are experienced by female characters, and the effects of oppression towards female characters. The oppressions towards female characters are caused by patriarchal norms. It causes female characters experience verbal oppression and devoice. The effects of this oppression are that the female characters stand for their emancipation and break women stereotype
