Abstract :
Hero is someone who risks their own life to save another. A hero is someone who inspires people to do a good thing and hero is a selfless. The purpose of this study is to learn about hero archetypes in the story of Harry Potter in the Order of the Phoenix. The method used was a qualitative study. The researcher used archetype theory to describe a method of archetypes in the story of Harry Potter. This thesis argues that Harry Potter, the main character in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix novel written by JK Rowling, Harry Potter is a hero with archetypes. Carl Gustav Jung's theory explains the processes or events that occur in the character to complete the battle in his life called situational archetypes. Using Jung's theory of archetypes as a critical perspective, Harry Potter as a hero archetypes. The character of Harry Potter in theHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is full of suffering. He is an orphan boy who lived in the cupboard, his parents killed by the Dark Lord and now hedescribed as the figure of the hero. Hero struggled to achieve the goal to revenge Voldemort (as we know he is the Dark Lord) and study on Hogwart and Wizarding World. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix novel motif of mythology is described as a Hero because Harry is the person who bravely sacrificed his self to his friend, family, society and everyone around him. He escaped from the Death Eaters, and Voldemort so many times only to help anyone who needs him.
