Abstract :
Abstrak Tugas akhir adalah penelitian pada suatu kasus tertentu secara cermat dengan bantuan bimbingan dari dosen pembimbing yang wajib dikerjakan oleh setiap mahasiswa. Tugas akhir merupakan salah satu syarat kelulusan yang wajib diselesaikan oleh setiap mahasiswa menjelang akhir studinya. Pada proses bimbingan memiliki beberapa kelemahan diantaranya adalah mahasiswa terkadang lupa tidak membawa lembar bimbingan, dosen pembimbing kesulitan dalam memantau mahasiswa bimbingannya karena jumlah mahasiswa yang dibimbing tidak sedikit dan kaprodi tidak bisa mengetahui perkembangan pada pengerjaan tugas akhir mahasiswanya. Dengan adanya Sistem Informasi Bimbingan Tugas Akhir dapat mempermudah mahasiswa dalam proses bimbingan tugas akhir. Mahasiswa dapat mengajukan usulan bimbingan kepada dosen pembimbing sesuai waktu yang diinginkan, sehingga bimbingan menjadi lebih terjadwal dan mahasiswa tidak perlu lagi membawa lembar bimbingan setiap kali akan bimbingan karena riwayat bimbingan akan tersimpan pada sistem informasi bimbingan tugas akhir ini. Selain itu sistem ini dapat membantu dosen pembimbing memantau kemajuan mahasiswa dan membantu kaprodi untuk mengetahui perkembangan pada mahasiswanya. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah suatu sistem informasi berbasis digital yang dapat membantu proses bimbingan tugas akhir menjadi lebih efektif. Abstract The final project or thesis usually is a research activity that been done by students with the guidance of the lecturer as a supervisor. The final project also becomes one of the graduation requirements that must be fulfilled by students. Normally, the thesis consulting process being done manually. Students have to bring consulting sheets that contain consultation results, date, and proposed improvement that need to be done. This process makes the thesis supervisor facing problems. Sometimes the students forgot to bring the consulting sheets also the supervisor has difficulty monitoring the thesis progress because they have more than one student to be supervised. With the present of thesis consulting information systems, students can propose an appointment with the thesis supervisor at the desired time. Students don't need to bring consulting sheets each time because the consultation history will be stored in the system. This system also helps the thesis supervisor to monitor the progress of each student. The head of departments will benefit too by able to monitor their student's thesis progress each time. The result of this research is a thesis consulting information system that can help the thesis consulting process become more effective.
