Abstract :
Wide Area Network (WAN), which is one of the widest geographic computer networks that can cover between countries and between continents. Along with the very rapid development of technology, the difficulty in diagnosing WAN network damage and it takes a long time now the field of communication networks has used technology to help diagnose problems that appear on the WAN network. Of course, the purpose of this research is to produce a website-based expert system that is able to diagnose damage to the WAN network where the damage can only be solved by an expert or expert in the field. The resulting program is able to provide high accuracy results by using several methods and an algorithm, the method and algorithm used in this research are the Pairwise Comparison method to determine the weight of each existing criterion, the similarity algorithm to calculate the similarity between training data with testing data, and the Rule Based Reasoning method to solve problems based on previously resolved problems, thus the resulting program is able to provide high and precise results or accuracy based on data obtained from experts or expert technicians in their fields which are stored on the basis knowledge system built.
