Abstract :
Back Ground - Barelang Bridge is a landmark of Batam which also become frequently visited resort destination. There is an isle called Tonton Nearby the bridge. There has not been any well-designed recreational waterfront on the island which accomodates culinary kiosks, seafood restaurant, or the things which optimized the potential of the seashore. This is the initial idea of the design, to create a facility that accomodates all potential of the area as a recreational waterfront complex. Concept - The design of this recreational waterfront poses a district design which combines sea wave and leaf form in one biomimetic design. Design Transformation - The main building which accommodates culinary, theater and background for taking photos is oriented to make the bridge and the sea stand as the contoured site and the local climate to find its shape. Therefore, optimazing their best use, moutdoor and indoor area are placed accordingly along with the landscape garden to accommodate its recreational needs.
