Abstract :
A location manager is a person who is responsible for the on-going process of a production of a film. A location manager is able to research, retrieve, secure, and identify the perfect location based on the director?s request. With the assistance of the film crew, a location manager must be able to control any circumstances within the location that?s been decided according to the director?s vision. Based on that definition, the author decided to become a location manager for the film entitled ?Kelabu.? The author will discuss about selection during location research, authorization and organization of a 90?s inspired house, as well as a train station centered on the platform area. The main challenge or concern in this thesis is how a location manager nurtures the vision of a director and how to maintain the parameters of procedures that needs to be executed by the location manajer.
