Abstract :
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by the failure of the
pancreas to produce an insulin hormone, which causes an increase in blood
glucose levels. Indonesia becomes 7 th country with sufferers greatest diabetes in
the world. This condition if it lasts a long time can trigger neuropathy with foot
ulcers and anxiety that can affect a person's mentality. The aim of this study was
determine the level of anxiety of patients with diabetes mellitus with foot ulcers at
Wecare Wound Care Boyolali. This study uses descriptive design with purposive
sampling method and data taken in April-May 2020 in Wecare Boyolali Wound
Care. The instruments used in this study use demographic data and HRS-A
(Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety) questionnaire to find out the level of worry.
Data were analyzed univariately to determine the level of anxiety in patients with
Diabetes Mellitus with Ulcers in Wecare Boyolali Wound Care. A total of 35
respondents were taken and the results obtained were that based on the
percentage that 17 respondents (48.57%) had moderate anxiety, mild levels of 14
(40%), and severe levels of 4 (11.43%). Based on the results of the study it can be
concluded that diabetes mellitus patients with ulcers are more dominant having
moderate anxiety levels. To health workers especially nurses on duty in wecare
boyolali wound care to further improve again in providing health education
education for diabetes patients mellitus with ulcers especially in the treatment of
ulcer prevention.
