Abstract :
ABSTRACT This thesis is entitled Demonstration of Balance Ton Porc and Its Role In The Issue of Sexual Harassment In France. The issue of sexual harassment is considerably disscused in society, in modern times the issue of sexual harassment is easier to be expressed on social media due to technological advances. Along with it, sexual harassment in France was demonstrated on social media with the hashtag Balance Ton Porc. The purpose of this thesis is to look at what kinds of sexual-related are demonstrated in the demonstration of Balance Ton Porc, and the role of demonstration in the problem of sexual harassment in France. In addition, the method used in this thesis is continuous descriptive from Nazir (2014: 44). To support the data analysis process, researchers used the theory of sexism by Walter (2013) and radical feminism by Ollenburger (1996). Based on the analysis that has been conducted, researcher came up with a conclusion that the demonstration Balance Ton Porc can open up opportunities for gender equality in the future. Within the development of technology, it is much easier for women to express the issue of sexual harassment they experienced in the past, and it can be a bridge that helps to tackle down the issue. Even though, it is sometimes subjective in nature, this demonstration can be considered successful because it can make women feel more equal with their counterpart.
