Abstract :
This research analyzes the impact of military spending on economic growth in six ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam) period of 2007-2016. This research used secondary data from World Bank and SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute). Using a method of Fixed-Effect EGLS (Estimated Generalized Least Square) Regression, this research found that military spending affects positively significant to economic growth in six ASEAN countries. This research also found that others variable as the control variables that are Population and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) also has a positive significant impact on economic growth.
