Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of role playing learning
models on the results of learning to speak in Indonesian Language Subjects of
Grade III students at SDN 24 Parupuk Tabing Padang in the academic year
2017/2018. This study uses Shoimin's (2014) theory of role playing learning
model, Susanto (2013) about learning outcomes, and Tarigan (2008) about
speaking. The type of research used is experimental research. The study
population was all students of SDN 24 Parupuk Tabing. While the research
sample was third grade students totaling 59 students. Data collection techniques
use assessment rubrics and final tests with 20 questions. Hypothesis testing is
done by t-test, because the data is normally distributed and homogeneous
variance. Based on the results of the study obtained the average value of the
experimental class students using the Role Playing learning model of 82.64 and
control class students who use the lecture method of 75.93 with the statistical test
level (? = 0.05) obtained t_count 2,379 and t table 2,003 where 2,379> 2,003 thus
H1 working hypothesis is accepted and H0 is rejected. For that, it can be
interpreted that the role playing model is able to influence the learning process,
because the role playing model has the advantage of arousing the spirit of
optimism in students and fostering a sense of togetherness. Based on these results
it can be concluded that by using the Role Playing model students are able to
improve learning outcomes optimally.
