Abstract :
Packaging is the process of providing a cover or protector for a product. The package contains a number of useful information related to the contents of the package. At present there are still found in the food market that do not include the nutritional content and composition of the ingredients on the packaging, so BPOM's authority is needed to follow up on this matter. Problem Formulation: 1) What is BPOM's authority over the circulation of food and beverage product packaging that does not include the nutritional content and ingredient composition labels? 2) What are the Obstacles faced by BPOM to the Circulation of Food and Beverage Product Packaging That Does Not Include Labels for Nutritional Content and Material Composition? 3) What are the efforts made by the BPOM on the Circulation of Food and Beverage Product Packaging That Does Not Include Nutritional Content Labels and Material Composition? This type of research is sociological juridical. Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews and document studies. The results of the study are 1) The authority exercised by BPOM is to carry out Pre-Market and Post-Market supervision 2) The obstacles found are the lack of socialization carried out by BPOM regarding information on nutritional value and composition on labels 3) The efforts given are to confiscate and destroy for products that do not include information on the nutritional value and composition of ingredients on the label
