Abstract :
The study discuss personification write presented in a number of poems. The study is focused on the type of personification and the comparison of human characteristic to inanimate object and animal. The purposes are to find out the type of personification and the comparison in the personification. Furthermore, to reach out the purpose, the study applies qualitative method and best on the theory of personification. The result of the study is that in a number of the poems contains personification which the types of animal and inanimate object. The human characteristic is compared with the animal and inanimate object. The writer of the poems uses the several type or personification to make the poems interesting and deliver to the message to the reader. Keywords : personification, inanimate object, animal, poems
