Abstract :
People need food products that must be consumed daily. Of course, people choose the right products to consume. To ensure that the public is not confused when using unlicensed food, BPOM must monitor the circulation of unlicensed food. This type of research is sociological and legal in nature. Techniques of data collection through interviews and literature review. Primary and secondary data sources. Analyze data using qualitative methods. Research results 1) BPOM's form of supervision is a pre-market and post-market system. 2) BPOM's obstacle in implementing supervision is the lack of compliance with regulations, especially by entities. commercial and consumer awareness is still low in the implementation of monitoring. 3) BPOM's efforts are to socialize business actors and consumers as well as to cooperate with other organisations.
