Abstract :
Justin Drew Bieber known as Justin Bieber is a famous Canadian singer-songwriter, who has released six albums and has held four world tours and the Justice World Tour is the fifth concert from his sixth album "Justice" and will be his world tour concert. the latter before Justin Bieber's hiatus. Justin Bieber uses Instagram as a social media to upload and share his experiences and performances in several countries or cities during his world tour concert called Justice World Tour. Justin Bieber's Instagram received varied reactions from his followers who expressed their comments in different ways. This research describes expressive speech acts on Justin Bieber's Instagram during his world tour concert. The expressive speech acts used must have a communication purpose both for Justin Bieber and his followers on Instagram. The data for this study were taken from comments from Justin Bieber's followers in three related video posts during his concert tour entitled Justice World Tour which received the most responses and views. This research is qualitative because it does not use numbers as material for analysis but words. The theoretical concept used refers to the theory of Searle (1976), Cutting (2002), Holmes (2013), and Leech (1974). The results of this study indicate (1) There are 5 types of expressive speech acts, (2) Found strategies in delivering expressive speech acts, (3) Found the functions of each expressive speech act according to the context used by its followers. The results of this research are helpful to students who observe speech acts, especially expressive speech acts and strategies for delivering as well as those that have functions that follow the context of expressive speech acts user, and it is helpful for researchers in turn to be a reference for the research of expressive speech acts based on data or other linguistics aspects.
