Abstract :
In this study, the writer analyzes the Barack Obama?s Inaugural Speech. This speech was delivered when Barack Obama elected to become the president of the U.S.A. The researcher analyzed the types and forms of grammatical cohesion found in the speech. This study used a descriptive qualitative method by collecting the data and analyzing the data. The data from this study was taken from the internet namely Barack Obama Inaugural Speech Script. From the analysis of the data, the writer found several types of grammatical cohesion, they are 1 anaphoric reference, 2 cataphoric references, 1 nominal substitution, 3 verbal ellipsis, 14 additive conjunctions and 4 adversative conjunctions.
