Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease with characteristics of hyperglycemia that occurs due to insulin secretion disorders, diabetes mellitus cannot be cured but blood sugar levels can be controlled. In addition, uncontrolled blood sugar is thought to play a role as a trigger for impaired cognitive function in people with diabetes mellitus. Insulin resistance can increase C-Reactive Protein levels. The increase in C-Reactive Protein levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus is caused by the inflammatory response that arises as a result of complications from diabetes mellitus.
