Abstract :
ABSTRACT NURLAELA (C1B1 15 067), "The Impact of the existence of the Nickel Seed Management Plant (SMELTHER) of PT. VDNI (Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry) Against Social Economic Conditions of the Community Under the guidance of Mrs. Dra. Hj. SuhartyRoslan, M.Si as the first mentor and Mr. Bakri Yusuf S.Sos, M.Si as the second mentor. This study aims to find out 1. Knowing the Impact of the existence of Nickel Seed Management (smelter) at PT. VDNI (Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry) on the social conditions of the Community in Morosi Village '). 2. Knowing the Impact of the existence of Nickel Seed Management (smelter) at PT. VDNI (Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry) on the condition of the Community Economy in Morosi Village. This study uses a purposive sampling technique, namely the technique of deliberate informant determination, that is, researchers have determined to be research informants with assumptions or in their own opinion. The results showed that the impact caused by the existence of a nickel (smelther) management plant in Morosi Village included: Increased continuation of family members' education, continued education of children for the families of employees who worked at nickel management factories in Morosi Village. Health in the treatment process for employees who work in nickel management factories is all borne by the company, while family members who experience health problems prefer medical treatment, compared to before they work preferring treatment in a dukun. Social interaction, fellow employees who work for nickel management companies are in close social solidarity, both local employees and those from outside the MorosI village. Potential conflicts due to cultural contact, complaints from Morosi villagers, who claimed that part of their land was traditional ownership, on the other hand the company claimed to have been released from the government. The lack of local people for gardening is because some of their plants have been contaminated by factory pollution. Impact on economic conditions: Job opportunities, with the opening of a nickel management plant in Morosi Village, people are not wasted as employees of the nickel (smelther) management plant. Income The family economy increases, in contrast to the income of employees before entering work in the nickel ore management factory, compared to their income after becoming employees at the plant can be said to have increased. Housing conditions, For housing conditions for employees who work in the factory have been permanently formed. Keywords: Impact, Nickel Factory, Community Social Economy.
