Abstract :
The present study aimed at finding out the lexicons used in Ngaga ceremony in Pedawa. The study was qualitative study applying observing, interviewing, and documentation technique to obtain the data. Three instruments were conducted, namely the researcher, observation sheet, and interview guide. The subjects were people of Pedawa and the objects were lexicons in Ngaga ceremony. The result of the study showed three classifications of the obtained lexicons including monomorphemic (31), polymorphemic (35), and phrase (13). This study implicates to the contribution to language preservation. Moreover, it can be as reminder that some certain lexicons are endangered so the involvement both government and society is needed.
