Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to find out the students’ attitude toward the
use of worksheet in learning English at the second grade students of SMK
Komputer Mutiara Ilmu Makassar in academic year 2016/2017. The method used
in this study was descriptive quantitative method. The data collected were
analyzed by usingformula P=F/N x 100% to look for the students response
percentage, and then presented in thetable percentage of students’ attitude.
The population of this research wasthe second grade students of SMK
Komputer Mutiara Ilmu Makassar which consisted of 102 students. The sample of
the research consisted of 30 students (IX RPL I) which were taken by using
cluster sampling.The instrument used to get data in this research was a
questionnaire about the students’ response to the second grade of SMK Komputer
Mutiara Ilmu Makassar. The questionnaire was in the form of positive
statement(consists of 10 items) and negative statement (consists of 10 items), so
the total of the questionnaire was 20 items.
According to the questionnaire result, the research found that the students
had positive attitude toward the use of worksheet, it showed that students of the
SMK Komputer Mutiara Ilmu Makassar like studying English by using
worksheet, because among 30 students there 16 (53%) were strongly agree. The
result of data analysis showed that the mean score was 75.06.
Based on those result, theresearcher concludes that the students in the
second grade of SMK Komputer Mutiara Ilmu Makassar had positve attitude
toward the use of worksheet in learning English.
